Innocryst is a CERN spin-off developing a system based on X-ray diffraction imaging technology to fingerprint, in order to identify and track individual natural and man-made gemstones. The system benefits from the widely used MonteCarlo simulation software framework, FLUKA, originating from a collaboration between CERN and INFN.
