Career opportunities in Healthcare
CERN does not do medical research. However, as part of its Knowledge Transfer activities, the Organization strives to make an impact on healthcare through the development of its most promising technologies.
The technologies developed by CERN for its scientific programme focus on accelerators, detectors, and computing.
At present, we do not have dedicated healthcare programmes for fellows, doctoral students or internships. If you are looking for such an opportunity in other fields, please check the CERN jobs page.
There are a few opportunities for early-career researchers to join CERN medical applications-related projects every year. These projects are approved through an internal competitive procedure, and positions are only opened after approval of the project: the whole process typically takes 6-8 months. The early-career positions are opened by the research groups directly involved in technology developments – the main contacts are available on the MAPF page.
