Thomas Rimbot

Thomas joined the Knowledge Transfer Group in June 2024 to support Aerospace and Environmental applications of CERN technology in the Business Development section.

He studied Computational Science and Engineering at EPFL, Lausanne, with international experiences in Canada and Italy. Thomas then had a first internship experience at CERN in the Magnets Tests and Measurements section where he studied the magnetic field description in curved geometries. He then conducted his Master Thesis at the European Space Agency (ESA) in the Netherlands, characterizing galactic cosmic rays and space radiation monitors onboard planetary missions. Before coming to KT, he developed a Digital Twin for a student Mars rover during a software engineering internship in Lausanne.
